Lifeball (1998-ongoing)

Lifeball is a growing sculpture made from crumpled drawings I’ve been adding to since 1998. It began with the help of my late Granny — she sat in her armchair while I piled the first bundle of drawings onto her lap. She held them tightly as I bound them together. That moment became the core of the piece – and one of my favourite memories.

Over the years, Lifeball has travelled with me and steadily grown. It now measures 1.5 metres in diameter and is too big to move around easily. Still, I keep adding to it.

It’s part sculpture, part record — a quiet archive of years of drawing, making, and letting go.
